P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) was founded on January 21, 1869, by seven students at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
Today, P.E.O. has grown from that small membership of seven to almost a quarter of a million members in chapters in the United States and Canada. The P.E.O. Sisterhood is passionate about its mission: promoting educational opportunities for women. Our sisterhood proudly makes a difference in women's lives with six philanthropies that include ownership of Cottey College, an independent, liberal arts and sciences college for women, and five other philanthropies that provide higher educational assistance which include the P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund, P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund, P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education, P.E.O. Scholar Awards, and P.E.O. STAR Scholarship.

Chapter Supply Coordinator
P.E.O. is seeking applicants for the position of Chapter Supply Coordinator at the P.E.O. Executive Office. This full-time position coordinates the supplies for local and state/provincial/district chapters. Hours are Mondays through Fridays 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Regular, full-time employees are eligible for paid time off, paid holidays, funeral leave, sick leave and have the option to enroll in medical, dental and vision insurance plans.

Cottey College - Controller
Recently ranked among the top 10% of the 2018 Best Regional Colleges by U.S. News and World Report, Cottey College is seeking a full-time Controller in its business office located in Nevada, Missouri.
Reporting to the Vice President for Administration and Finance, this position performs a wide range of difficult-to-complex administrative activities related to maintaining the accounting systems and records to assure financial reporting integrity; implementation and monitoring of the budget; preparation of financial reports and statements in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles; and oversight for payroll, accounts payable, general accounting, auditing, and accounts receivable.
- Bachelor degree in accounting or business administration. MBA and/or CPA certification preferred.
- Four years’ experience in accounting, preferably in a non-profit and/or college and university finance department.
- Two years in a supervisory capacity.
